At aps we build sustainability into everything we do!
We’re dedicated to running our business in a way that’s both kind to the environment and the communities around us. Our goal is to minimise our impact – whether that’s through reducing our waste, lowering our carbon footprint or ensuring we’re always improving on how we operate. We believe that making a positive difference is a team effort, understand the importance of everyone playing their part so we can make a sustainable future for all; so we work hard to reduce our airmiles, choose renewable energy and are monitoring and reporting our progress as we go.
We respect the nature around us and promote awareness of our environmental and social responsibilities within our team. We recognise that the environmental impacts of our operations and events derive mainly from emissions from fuel usage for business travel and waste from event production. We’re setting targets and goals to achieve improvement in these areas.
Our sustainable approach
We’re working with our clients and suppliers towards becoming environmental influencers for our events and we’re proud to adopt these principles to cement our sustainable approach:
GREENER COMMUTING
We encourage our employees to commute to the office by greener modes of transport and offer working from home to reduce commuting
renewable energy
Our office uses fully renewable energy tariffs for electricity
SUSTAINABLE PRINTING
We track printing & use fully recycled paper in our office
RECYCLING
We focus on recycling in our offices - from old equipment to plastics, cardboard & glass
TRANSPORT
We use trains for business travel for distances within 600km
CARBON OFFSET
For any business miles we can’t reduce, we offset through our carbon balance scheme
RESOURCE REUSE
We focus on reusing and hiring items for our events
LOCAL SOURCING
We source local materials and suppliers
SETTING STANDARDS
We’re working with our suppliers on their sustainable practises and setting standards for our events
TRAINING
We provide training for our team on environmental initiatives, helping them grow their knowledge and play an active role in our ongoing improvements
QUALITY MANAGEMENT
We’re ISO14001:2015 certified and carry out regular audits to ensure compliance
ISLA
We’re an active member of the ISLA Network, a non-profit organisation leading change within the events industry
OUR FOOTPRINT
We’ve committed to measure our baseline carbon footprint by the end of 2025
NET ZERO
We’re working towards our Net Zero Roadmap in line with UK 2050 commitments

Achieving our objectives means commitment from every one of the aps team. We promote a shared accountability culture and hope to increase environmental awareness across our organisation and embed carbon reduction and zero-waste practises into our everyday operations and event planning.
